On May 1, 2023, a tiebreaker event was conducted for the New Mexico Community Solar Program. The event was held at the New Mexico PRC in Santa Fe and was broadcast live on Zoom. Each of the 408 bids that paid the program application fee had a representative ticket that was drawn at random from a spinning raffle drum. To account for both current and future ties, as the discrepancy period has not yet concluded, all of the bid IDs were drawn rather than just those with current ties. Once the Program Administrator has established the developer cap, co-located projects, and score, in the event of a tie among the scores, the Program Administrator will utilize the randomly drawn order to create the final ranking. This final ranking will be released on May 9, 2023.
