How to Participate
To participate in the New Mexico Community Solar Program, you will need to select a community solar provider and subscribe to a community solar project.
Your community solar provider will recommend your subscription size based on your average electricity usage. After you subscribe to a community solar project, you will receive credits on your electric bill based on the amount of energy produced by your community solar subscription that month. Learn more about how to make sure you save money after enrolling in community solar.

What is a Subscription Agreement?
A Subscription Agreement is a binding contract between you – the subscriber – and the subscription manager of the community solar project. This agreement defines the terms of your subscription, including your subscription size, contract length, and billing methods.
Make sure to read your Subscription Agreement and ask questions about any terms you do not understand. The Subscription Agreement is a legally binding contract between you and the subscription manager. Please be aware that the Program Administrator is not a party to this agreement.

Who manages my subscription?
The following types of companies may be involved in managing your community solar subscription. One company may serve in multiple rolls:
Subscriber Organization
Subscription Manager
Subscriber Aggregator
Your Subscription Manager will be your primary point of contact for any questions about your participation in a community solar project.
If you have any concerns about any company involved in managing your community solar subscription, please contact the Program Administrator.
When will I start to see discounts on my electric bill?
You will start to receive discounts on your electric bill after the community solar project is operational. You will start to pay for your subscription around the time when you start to receive bill credits. Subscription Managers can provide an estimated timeline for the completion of the projects they manage and the timing of when bill credits and subscription charges will start.
